Dell cartridges are tweaked just enough that they are suposedly proprietary.you have to order from them. The printer would not recognize the color carttidge at setup and had to be replaced by Dell. Unlike HPs, the software for Lexmark is much much less memory intensive. (Dell uses Lexmark for their printers, allegedly.) The printer hooked up fine, and the software loaded quickly. The price on eBay was right for the printer so I decided to replace my older Lexmark AIO inkjet printer.

I purchased the Dell 964 becaue I need an all-in-one unit that doesn't take up to much space.
